Maasai Mara National Park
The Masai Mara National Reserve is probably the most famous and most visited Reserve in Kenya. It offers breathtaking views (as seen in the film "Out of Africa", much of which was filmed here), an extraordinary density of animals including "the Big Five" (lions, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros) and may varieties of plains game. |
Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya’s most popular national parks. Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru National Park a shallow alkaline lake, lies about 100 miles north of Nairobi. The lake is world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth - myriads of pink flamingo whose numbers are legion, often more than a million and which literally turn its shores pink. |
Aberdares National Park
The Aberdares is the established name of a mountain range which thrusts directly north from Nairobi for more than 160 km. The range was named after the then President of the Royal Geographical Society by the intrepid Scot, Joseph Thomson, who explored the region in 1883. |
Tsavo East National Park
Tsavo-East is one of Kenya's oldest and largest National Parks: covering approximately 40% of the total area of all of Kenya's National Parks. Its beautiful landscape and proximity to the Coast make it a popular safari destination. It is accredited as one of the World's leading bio-diversity strongholds, bushy grassland and open plains alternating with savannah and semi-arid acacia scrub and woodlands. |
