This selected Safari will show you the best of Kenya and more. On this safari we will visit the premier parks and game reserves of Kenya. First we will head north to the famous Samburu / Buffalo Springs game reserves. Here we will experience the beautiful dry northern country, which is home to wildlife only seen north of the equator: namely grevy's zebra, beisa oryx and reticulated giraffe. Other residents are gerenuk gazelle, the Somali ostrich, 'big five', and the more common savannah game.
From Samburu our journey now heads back south with one night spent at Sweetwaters luxury tented camp situated on the equator and one night Lake Nakuru national park famous for its spectacular bird life.
The last part of our safari takes us to Masai Mara Game Reserve famous for the lots of wildlife it holds and the wildebeest migration that takes place yearly from July – Otober.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi
You are met upon arrival and transfer to Prideinn Hotel Westlands
where your accommodation is based on bed and breakfast basis. Dinner and overnight at Prideinn Hotel Westlands.
Day 02: Nairobi - Samburu
Land only tour starts in Nairobi this morning. Arrival Nairobi. Met and
greeted with our "traditional welcome" and our safari begins by driving north we pass Mount Kenya, Africa's second highest mountain at 17,000 feet. We cross the Equator again into the northern hemisphere on our way to Samburu Game Reserve in a semi-desert area
of Kenya. This afternoon we take a game drive in the park. First of 2 nights in Samburu.

Day 03: Samburu Lodge Sopa Lodge
Early morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu Game Reserve, which
covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometres). In Samburu we are sure to see
elephants, warthogs and buffalo, which can be seen in many of Kenya's parks,
but we should also see animals not found in other areas. Second of 2 nights
in Samburu. Samburu Sopa Lodge. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 04: Samburu - Mount Kenya (Chimpanzee Sanctuary)
We drive back south from Samburu to the Equator and the slopes of Mount
Kenya. Although situated on the Equator, Mount Kenya is permanently covered
in glaciers and snow. Here we stay at the Sweetwaters Game Reserve. This afternoon we have a game drive in the reserve and tour the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Overnight at Sweetwaters Camp.
Optional Camel Ride or a Night Game Drive. Breakfast & Dinner.

Day 05: Sweetwaters - Rift Valley Lakes (Lake Nakuru)
This morning we drive across the equator and descend the Nyandarua
Escarpment into the Great Rift Valley. This afternoon we take a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park often described as the world's biggest ornithological spectacle.
Overnight at the Flamingo Hill Tented Camp. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 06: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara
After a morning game drive, we leave for the Masai Mara located further
south into the Great Rift Valley. This is the northern section of the Serengeti Plain, which is home to the greatest concentration of game animals in the world. First of 3 nights in the Masai Mara. Mara Simba Lodge. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 07: Masai Mara Game Reserve
On our morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara we have a very good chance of seeing all the major Plains animals including lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, rhino, hyena, cheetah, jackal, warthog and many species of antelope. Second of 3 nights in the
Masai Mara. Mara Simba Lodge. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 08: Masai Mara Game Reserve
We continue to explore this miraculous area on our morning and afternoon
game drives. This open grassland is home to almost every species of East
African wildlife including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes,
wildebeests, gazelles, and zebras. This is one of the most spectacular sights in the
world. (Optional visit to a Masai Village where you encounter and learn
about the Masai, a proud tribal people struggling to preserve their traditions in the face of
modernisation). At sunset we will visit a section of the Mara River where we hope to see
many hippos. Third of 3 nights in the Masai Mara. Mara Simba Lodge.

Day 9: Drive Back To Nairobi
After breakfast, say 'Kwaheri' - a Swahili word for bye to Masai Mara. Later leisurely drive back to Nairobi, arriving by midday. Upon arrival have lunch at a city restaurant and later you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home departing at 1415hrs having seen Kenya probably for the first time!
This marks the end of your Kenya Safari Adventure.
