Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by our representatives for a safari briefing. After the briefing drive north through the Kikuyu farm land & arrive at SAMBURU Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. After lunch go on afternoon game drive till sunset.
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge / Samburu Game Lodge.
Day 2: Samburu
Full day with morning and afternoon Game drives at Samburu National Reserve. Full board accommodation at Samburu Sopa lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge / Samburu Game Lodge.
Day 3: Samburu - Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, proceed towards Lake Nakuru - Flamingo Hill Camp arriving at the Camp in time for lunch.
Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingos and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular.
From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, water buck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here. After lunch go for afternoon game drive until sunset.
Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp / Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
Depart Nakuru - drive towards Masaimara - arriving at Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. After lunch go for an afternoon game drive until sunset.
Dinner and overnight at Sarova Mara Tented Camp/ Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 5 & 6: Masai Mara
Full day in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Full board accommodation at Mara Sopa Lodge.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife reserve. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds, too, are prolific. Including migrants, well over 450 species have been recorded, among them, 57 species of birds of prey. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well-spread rainfall year round.
Rain, when it falls almost always chooses the late afternoon or night. Between July and October, when the great wildebeest migration is in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, the sensation is unparalleled.
Dinner and overnight at Sarova Mara Tented Camp/ Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 7: Masai Mara - Nairobi
Have a morning game drive returning to the for breakfast. After breakfast depart back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the airport for your onward travel back home.
