Itinerary Summary

The safari takes you to Amboseli National park home of Kilimanjaro the rooftop of Africa and finally to Tanzania with great sites and variety of wildlife. For those who have less than 15 days for a holiday the safari will take you to different attractions with different wildlife and a feel of both Kenya and Tanzania. Accommodation at both lodges and luxurious tented camp.

Day 1: Nairobi-Maasai Mara
Pick up from Nairobi hotel or international airport and drive to Maasai Mara passing through the highly agricultural highlands of the Eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, you will have a stopover at the view point.

 

At 2,200 metres above sea level, views of Mount Longonot hundreds of metres below on the Rift Valley floor are spectacular. Lake Naivasha - the highest in altitude of the Rift Valley lakes sparkles at a distance. Descend the escarpment to Narok, a small town on the valley floor proceed to Masai Mara to be in time for lunch at. After lunch relax and have an afternoon game drive.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Early morning game drive before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Morning game drive. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara SImba Lodge or similar.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru N. Park

Breakfast at the lodge. Morning drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving by lunchtime. Lunch at the Lake Nakuru Lodge. This is a bird paradise and rhino sanctuary and also a World Heritage site. Afternoon game drive around the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, drive via Nairobi and Namanga to the Amboseli National Park set on the foot of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro (the rooftop of Africa). Amboseli National Park has a prolific population of elephants. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Lunch and an afternoon game drive follows. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park
Depart for an early morning gamedrive. Relax by the pool after having a leisurely breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure. Lunch and afternoon gamedrive follows. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar.

Day 6: Amboseli N.Park-Ngorongoro
Breakfast at the lodge. Morning drive via the border post of Namanga to Arusha. Lunch at the Cultural Heritage in Arusha (or pick packed lunches) and proceed to drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world.

Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Arrive for half day crater tour in the afternoon followed by check in.

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge L-DBB

Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart for a full-day tour of the crater floor with picnic lunches from the lodge. Later return in the evening to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge LDBB

Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park
Breakfast is at your lodge. Depart with packed lunches and drive to the Serengeti National Park, undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and the greatest concentration of plains game anywhere. En route visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered.

Proceed on a visit of the Masai Village en route and onwards with en route game drive as you proceed for check in. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge L-DBB

Day 9: Serengeti National Park
All day spent in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge LDBB

Day 10: Serengeti National Park – Lake Manyara National Park
Depart after breakfast and drive with packed lunches to Lake Manyara National Park. Proceed straight on game drive in the Park and later check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge L-DBB

Day 11: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha – Namanga
Depart after breakfast and drive back to Arusha and proceed for lunch at the Cultural Heritage before proceeding to the Namanga border.
