Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba are at the doorstep of the remote region of nomadic tribes of the Northern Frontier Province. In this rugged and dry country, the Ewaso River and its tributaries display their green meanders of riverine forest.
Itinerary: Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu Depart Nairobi Wilson airport early morning by flight to Samburu National Reserve. On arrival at the airstrip, you are met and transferred to Samburu Sopa Lodge.
After lunch game drive until sunset in Samburu National Reserve where the large stock of antelopes has attracted many lions and leopards. The Reticulated Giraffe and Grevy Zebra, rather rare in other parks, are here quite common, as well as the long necked Gerenuk.
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge / Sarova Shaba Lodge.
Day 2: Samburu Morning game drive with breakfast at the Samburu Serena Lodge in search of wildlife and birds in wild beauty of Samburu land. After lunch at the Samburu Serena Lodge game drive until sunset in Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba.
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge/ Sarova Shaba Lodge.
Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi In the morning game drive and later transfer to the airstrip for the flight back to Nairobi.
