Mt. Kilimanjaro the highest mountain of Africa is dominating Amboseli. Despite of its dusty appearance the park has an endless water supply from the ice cap. The heat creates mirages at the horizons, punctuated by herds of Zebra and Gnus.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli
Depart Nairobi Wilson airport early morning by flight to Amboseli National Park. On arrival at the airstrip, you are met and transferred to Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Set in the heart of Amboseli National Park, the lodge is almost camouflaged in the surrounding bushes as it is built to resemble a Masai manyatta of homestead. After a short breakfast game drive until lunch time. After lunch game drive until sunset in the expansive Amboseli plains, which are home to herds of elephants, which feed on the large acacia trees.
Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge /Ol Tukai Lodge/ Kibo Safari Camp.
Day 2: Amboseli
Game drives in Amboseli National Park where nearly all the main species of African fauna live.
Fullboard accommodation at Amboseli Serena Lodge/Ol Tukai Lodge/ Kibo Safari Camp.
Day 3: Amboseli – Nairobi
After early breakfast transfer to the airstrip for the flight back to Nairobi.
