Itinerary description:
Day 1   Nairobi

You are met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to your hotel. Ngong House lies on the outskirts of Langata, on the land once cultivated as Karen Blixen’s coffee estate. Paul Verleysen, the charming owner, had the concept of a private home that would also offer exclusive and personalized service to a small number of guests. His creation complies perfectly with the self-imposed brief and, in addition, offers the ultimate luxuries of space, light and true style. Accommodation is in five wooden houses raised on stilts with peerless views of the misty Ngong Hills and the surrounding countryside. Each “tree-house” has its own spirit and ambience with private bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, elevated views and a separate bedroom and sitting room. Each room has a private verandah, which is an ideal place from which to bask in the sun, take afternoon tea, observe the teeming birdlife or gaze into the sunset. The lodge features its own swimming pool and there are excellent golf courses and sports facilities nearby. Activities include game drives into the National Park and countryside walks. Ngong House is truly inspirational.
Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner You stay at  Ngong House

Days 2 – 4  Maasai Mara
After breakfast your driver will collect you for your transfer to Wilson Airport. At Wilson Airport you check in on your scheduled Air Kenya flight departing at 10.00am and arriving at 10.45am at the Ngerende Airstrip in the Masai Mara. You are met at the airstrip and transferred to Rekero Cottages. Rekero, the Beaton family home in the Mara, caters for a complement of up to ten guests in four charming well appointed cottages set in a pretty garden foaming with flowers. Green and abundantly planted as the garden is, its most striking feature is the waterhole on the far side of the lawn at which the guests may have an extremely close encounter with the local wildlife as they come to drink. Elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard regularly visit and look superbly dramatic in the soft light. The Masai Mara holds the greatest and most diverse concentration of wildlife remaining in Africa today, and is particularly famous for its lion and cheetah population. Here you will get the feel of being closer to a more natural Africa. Bush walks, day and night game drives in the Reserve and in the Conservation Area and cultural visits to Masai and Ndorobo communities, visits to local trading centers, bird watching are some of the activities offered at Rekero. Game viewing on foot is also offered and is quite a rare treat in the Masai Mara!
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. You stay at  Rekero Cottages

Days 5 – 7  Lewa Downs
After perhaps one last game drive you are transferred to the airstrip for your charter flight to Lewa Downs. Set in stunning arid landscape Wilderness Trails is an oasis of comfort and tranquility. Accommodation is in six en suite cottages cool and restful; the rooms all have the stylish wooden furniture that is made on the estate. Wilderness Trails is a wonderful base from which to explore the fauna and flora of the area. While staying at Wilderness Trails, you have the opportunity of seeing everything from elephant and rhino to dik dik, reticulated giraffe, eland, hartebeest, gerenuk, warthog, impala, grants gazelle, cape buffalo and bush buck. Two species of zebra graze the plains: Burchells and the rare grevy. Lion, leopard and cheetah reside on the ranch as well, and the occasional sighting of the elusive and magnificent greater kudu is a rare treat. To see and photograph the animals you may go on walks, horseback or camel expeditions, or day and night game drives in custom four-wheel-drive open-top vehicles. The experienced guides know all the best areas for spotting game and they enjoy sharing their knowledge with guests. Horseback safaris, on very gentle steeds, allow close encounters with the wildlife, while a camel safari is not to be missed! The horses are well trained and patient, even novice riders may experience close encounters with the wildlife. Other facilities include a lovely swimming pool of muted aquamarine and a tennis court. However, the great glory of Lewa is the space, the privacy and the gorgeous country.

Days 8 – 10  - Laikipia
Today you are transferred to the airstrip for your charter flight to Ol Malo. Ol Malo, meaning “The Place of the Greater Kudu”, is the home of Colin and Rocky Francombe. The five thousand-acre ranch and game sanctuary lies along the Uaso Nyiro River on the edge of Kenya’s north-eastern province. It overlooks the Mukagodo, home of the nomadic Ndorobo people, with views that unveil the very face of Africa. Built of natural rock with thatched roofs, and shaped by the rocks and the curve of ancient olive wood, their home overlooks an often frequented water hole and salt lick, surrounded by miles of rugged bush with Mount Kenya looming in the distance. The fabulous swimming pool, edged with natural stone, appears to grow organically from the landscape. Enjoy picnics and sundowners in the bush, day and night game drives, escorted walks for bird watching and game viewing, camel treks, visits to colorful Samburu manyattas and day excursions into the forests of the Karisia Hills. More than 50 different species of wildlife have been seen, from elephant and kudu to klipspringer.
