Itinerary Summary

This 6 days safari features the four most popular northern park in Tanzania starting at Lake Manyara, 2nights at Serengeti National Park, which is Tanzania's oldest park, and one of the world's last great wildlife refuges . It shares the same ecosystem with Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve and stretches as far as Lake Victoria to the West. Serengeti name comes from the Maasai word Siringet, meaning 'endless plains' . Ngorongoro the largest crater in the world has been declared a World Heritage Site. The volcanic crater is jam-packed with wildlife, including all the big game. Its pride and joy however is that it remains the last great world refuge for black Rhino. finally to Tarangire National park famous for tree climbing pythons.

Itinerary Description

Day 1:  Arusha-Lake Manyara

Depart Arusha  for Lake Manyara National Park via Mto-wa mbu Village. Game drive in the park. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at L.Manyara Hotel/Serena Lodge.
Approx transit time: 2½ hrs

Day 2: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast drive to Serengeti with picnic lunch for game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Wildlife/Sopa Lodge.
Approx transit time: 4 hrs Meal Plan: B, L, D

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

A full day game viewing in the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Wildlife/Sopa Lodge.  Meal Plan: B, L, D

Day 4:  Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Morning game drive in Serengeti, Later in the afternoon drive to Ngorongoro via  Olduvai Gorge for a short visit of the museum.  Olduvai Gorge was made famous by the Leaky family who began their paleontological excavations here in 1931. Abundant fossil material dating back more that a million years, including hominid remains of Zinjanthropes bossei, have been discovered here for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife/Sopa Lodge. Day 5:  Ngorongoro – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, descend into the crater tour, Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge. Approx transit time: 2½ hrs Meal Plan: B, L, D

Day 6: Tarangire N. Park - Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for game viewing. Later in the afternoon to return to Arusha.   Approx transit time: 2½ hrs.  End of safari.
