Itinerary Summary
This camping safari covering Kenya's best campsites and National parks and game reserves.
DAY 01: NAIROBI - LAKE BARINGO Depart Nairobi 09H00 and later descend to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, for Lake Baringo [lunch en route] arriving in the afternoon. This is a fresh water lake, which supports a great variety of birds as well as hippos and crocodiles. [An evening boat ride] Indeed the lake is reputed to be the bird-watching center of Kenya – overnight at Mrs. Robert’s Campsite.
DAY 02: LAKE BARINGO - LAKE NAKURU Early in the morning we head south via Lake Bogoria, which is a shallow soda Lake with a beautiful scenery and also home to a sizable number of flamingos and other species of birds. The highlight however is the boiling hot springs and geyser, which also contributes to the beauty of the lake. After lunch we proceed to Lake. Nakuru in the South – another shallow soda lake that is described as an ornithologist paradise and one of the world’s most magnificent sights. Here one has an opportunity to see up to two million flamingos besides tens of thousands of others birds if lucky. Lake. Nakuru is a rhino sanctuary and also harbors lions, warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, hippo and many other animals. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse inside the park.
DAY 03: LAKE NAKURU – MASAI MARA We head further south to Narok, camping in our semi-permanent campsite on the Sekenani gate, which is at the edge of the park. Here we have stand up tents with beds for use if available otherwise we pitch tents. Showers are available in the camp and meals are served in the dinning mess.
DAY 04: MASAI MARA Morning and afternoon game drives exploring wildlife with picnic lunch, dinner and overnight at the basic campsite.
DAY 05: MASAI MARA Early breakfast & depart the campsite with picnic lunch for full day game drives. The game drive extends to Mara River – hippo point where lunch is enjoyed. There after proceed on the game drive in search of many other plains game returning to the campsite by 6 p.m, dinner and overnight at the campsite.
DAY 06 – MASAI MARA – NAIROBI Breakfast and proceed on a morning game drive, there after proceed to Narok where Masai souvenirs can be brought and then proceed to Nairobi.

Lake Nakuru – Cold showers / flash toilets available Masai Mara Hot /cold showers & flash toilets.
Mara - Campsite: Basic accommodation –already walk–in-tents with beds & mattresses, big open dinning area & kitchen, shared flash toilets with hot/cold showers. The animals come to the campsite – you feel so close to the nature!! Lodges located close to the campsite offers balloon safari, refreshments, swim all at an extra cost.

What to carry:
Sleeping bag, Money for personal spending and tipping approximately KShs. 1000 a day, Only a small case or rucksack, as storage space is limited, A pair of long trousers and jersey for the cool mornings and evenings in addition to plenty of light clothes for hot days (do not forget a hat), swim suit, a pillow, good walking and biking shoes and sweets, Torch, sunglasses, suntan lotion, insect repellent/spray but not mosquito coils, Camera, films, binoculars, maps, guide-books, towel, soap and toothbrush/paste, All personal travel insurance, It is good idea to bring any drinks you might want around the campfire, as they are not always available enroute.
