Itinerary Summary Camping Safari in Kenya is truly a great safari adventure, and most of Kenya's Game Reserves and National Parks have camping grounds and some basic facilities. Spacious tent camping space and long drop latrines are often available. Mara is also known for t's reach Wildlife and friendly atmosphere. Itinerary Description
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Today our safari will lead us to the jewel of Kenya parks, the Masai Mara Game Reserve by road. Masai Mara is Kenya’s most visited reserve and a home to the “Big Five”. The breathtaking views, a panorama of fertile vast rolling plains which supports a huge amount of resident plain games and their predators. Apart from the big five the Masai Mara is most famous for the annual spectacle of the wildebeest migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle leave the plains of the Serengeti and cross the Mara River in search of fresh feeding grounds. Lunch will be served en-route at Narok Town. On arrival at Masai Mara you will proceed for a late afternoon game drive. Later you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight (LD). Day 2: Masai Mara The day will start with early morning game drive before dawn and later return to your camp for breakfast and relax for the rest of late morning. Later, late afternoon return to the wilderness in search of games, all meals and overnight at our permanent campsite (BLD). Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi Soon after breakfast, with game drive en route drive back to Nairobi with lunch en-route (BL). Please note that this is a joining others safari - Seat in the bus sharing Min [2] Max [6] Pax Campsite: Basic accommodation –already walk–in-tents with beds & mattresses, big open dinning area & kitchen, shared flash toilets with hot/cold showers. The animals come to the campsite – you feel so close to the nature!! Lodges located close to the campsite offers balloon safari, refreshments, swim all at an extra cost. ALL PRICES ARE QUOTED IN US DOLLARS AND INCLUDE: Transportation with an experienced Driver/Guide, All three meals a day breakfast, lunch & dinner, Services of a safari cook, All camping equipment’s except for sleeping bags, Two person sharing a tent, Park fee, camping fees and a bottled mineral water, and toilet papers. PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE: Visa fees, airport taxes, Sleeping bags, Personal travel insurance, beverages, anything else of personal nature e.g insect repellants, toothpastes e.t.c. What to carry: Sleeping bag, Money for personal spending and tipping approximately KShs. 1000 a day, Only a small case or rucksack, as storage space is limited, A pair of long trousers and jersey for the cool mornings and evenings in addition to plenty of light clothes for hot days (do not forget a hat), swim suit, a pillow, good walking and biking shoes and sweets, Torch, sunglasses, suntan lotion, insect repellent/spray but not mosquito coils, Camera, films, binoculars, maps, guide-books, towel, soap and toothbrush/paste, All personal travel insurance, It is good idea to bring any drinks you might want around the campfire, as they are not always available enroute.
